The Raritan Valley Community College Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies will present a virtual Summer Book Series beginning June 18. Held via Zoom webinars, the programs are free of charge and open to the public. The series, which features discussions of award-winning novels that explore the past, includes Friday, July 16, 10-11 a.m. We Are Not Free The novel by Traci Chee features a collective account of a tight-knit group of young Nisei, second-generation Japanese American citizens, whose lives are irrevocably changed by the mass U.S. incarcerations of World War II.
