The Jewish story of our own freedom from bondage, challenges us to work for the freedom of all people. Rabbi Rachel Kahn-Troster, Director of Programs at T'ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights, will discuss the unfortunate reality of slavery in the world today, including the United States. She will also focus on the remarkable accomplishments of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, a group of tomato farm laborers in Florida, who have captured national attention for vastly improving conditions for farm laborers in Florida and across the country.
