Introducing a New Online Exhibit, Oct. 21, 1:00 p.m., on ZOOM
Organized farming has been a key part of the Jewish experience in the modern world, though this history is largely unknown or forgotten. Dr. Jonathan Dekel-Chen (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) will introduce a new online exhibit that he developed as a visiting scholar at Rutgers about the history of Jewish farming in New Jersey and around the world. The exhibition takes a deep dive into the amazing story of Jewish agriculture in New Jersey, where three generations of Jews planted roots in a new country, made New Jersey bloom, and pursued the American dream. Free and open to the public, the event is sponsored by the Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers University. Advance registration is required at BildnerCenter.Rutgers.edu.
