“Completing the Journey, an Ethiopian Adventure” will be facilitated by Mark Chazin, Attorney on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 1:00-2:30 pm at The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum JCC, 775 Talamini Road, Bridgewater, NJ. The fee is $5.00.

Mark Chazin visited Addis Ababa and Gondar Ethiopia a few years ago as a member of a mission sponsored by the Jewish Federations of North America. He saw firsthand a community that has been practicing Judaism for centuries. He will review the history of that ancient Jewish community and the operations that have brought many of its members to Israel. A highlight of Mr. Chazin’ s "Adventure" was the thrilling experience of personally accompanying 80 members of the Ethiopian Jewish community from Ethiopia for re-settlement in Israel. Mark is an attorney with the Clinton, NJ law firm of Gebhardt & Kiefer, P.C., and is a past president and current board member of the Jewish Federation of Somerset, Hunterdon & Warren Counties

These discussions are part of a program called “Yearn to Learn” sponsored by Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties. “Yearn to Learn: (Y2L) has been created by retired and semi-retired persons looking for high quality, interactive learning experiences in small, local group settings, which promote stimulating group interaction, self-exploration and interpersonal connection.
