JFS Job Seekers Success Group July

7:00PM - 9:00PM

Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties 150-A West High Street
Somerville, NJ

Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties is offering a Job Seekers Success Group for active job seekers who are unemployed, underemployed or seeking a career change. The next group will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at JFS, 150-A West High Street, Somerville, NJ.

The topic for this session is “Background Checks and References – What are employers learning about you?!” presented by Paul Cecala, Cecala Career Consultants. Join us for an in-depth look at the many different ways employers are delving into candidate’s pasts to determine their suitability for the job. The interview is just one step.  The background and reference check is a completely separate and extensive step made much easier by the internet.  What are employers learning about you?  What can you do to ensure they learn what you want?  These are just two of the important questions answered in this presentation.  Leave with many steps you can take today to improve your background and reference check.

This group is offered free of charge and is open to the entire community. Funding for this program is provided by grants from The Arnold A. Schwartz Foundation, United Way of Hunterdon County and Magyar Bank. To register for this session or for information about Career Counseling Services, please contact Elise Prezant at 908-725-7799 X108 or eprezant@JewishFamilySvc.org.
